The comedy series premieres this March on Hulu.

Hulu and Onyx Collective are teaming up again, this time with a comedy series Without prison. Half-hour series features Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo as daughter and father. According to the record, the show is “about a messed-up but perfectionist relationship therapist and single mom whose life falls apart when her dad gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son.” Ahead of the premiere, Hulu has released the official trailer.

At first, the trailer suggests that Washington’s Paige and Lindo’s Edwin have a somewhat strained relationship, though it seems like both are trying to find stable ground with the other. As they begin to adjust to the change, Edwin also works on his relationship with his teenage grandson Finn (Faly Rakotohavana), building another layer of importance to the family already present in the story.

Additionally, the show will also focus on more individual journeys, especially through Paige and Edwin. In the trailer, Paige says “[life] it’s not about what you owe someone else. It’s about who you want to be.” His sentiment is reflected in scenes that show him sorting out his feelings beyond his father and himself with others. Edwin also has to deal with a culture shock that he has had to adjust to until now. He has been in the world for 17 years.
