After the boys sweep the town, Cassandra urges the girls to stick together, while a group of boys discuss their problems with Cassandra’s leadership in a way that reeks of misogyny. At the end of episode 3, Cassandra is shot and killed, and their community immediately descends into chaos.

After her sister’s funeral, the children begin to abandon their work schedule and arm themselves with their parents’ weapons, leaving West Ham in a brief state of anarchy before Allie’s friends force her to take Cassandra’s position as village leader. students accept (first).
