Wizard Shazam returns to screens”Shazam! Wrath of the Gods“Follow-up to 2019”Shazam!where viewers watch young Billy Batson become the champion of Shazam, played by Djimon Hounsou, taking his powers and becoming a superhero. While the film focuses more on the champion than the wizard in the trailer, viewers may see the wizard return in the sequel.
Djimon Hounsou, who made his film debut in the early 90s, has appeared in a number of films and has appeared not only in DC films, but also in the Marvel universe (even voicing T’challa in an earlier animated series). Djimon Hounsou was born in what is now the Republic of Benin, before growing up in France, where he became a model and later began his film career.

Djimon Hounsou received a Golden Globe nomination for playing the central character Cinque, based on the real man who led the rebellion and eventually found his way home. Although it is not the happy ending that was expected, the film covers an important moment in American history and portrays the reality of that time.

Playing Mateo, a screaming neighbor, Djimon Housou received numerous nominations and wins for Best Actor. Mateo developed HIV from a bad blood transfusion and despite being friends with the new family he has lived as an outcast among the other tenants of the building.

Although not set in the current DC universe,Constantine it has continuity in development, due to a cult-like following. Djimon Hounsou plays Midnite, a neutral character in the war between heaven and hell. The character is immortal due to a curse, so there’s a lot of potential for him to appear in the sequel.
3 ‘Aquaman’ (2018)

AquamanSet in the same DC universe Shazam!, takes the audience on a journey to the lost city and the world of Atlantis, and that person in all its forms. A half-Atlantean, half-human hero must help Atlantis while also stopping its King from destroying the upper world.
Unfortunately, The Fisher King will meet its untimely end for Hounsou who seems to have a pattern of dying in many of his roles. Even if he only has a small role to provide the voice of the Fisher King Aquaman the role makes him part of a select group of actors who have appeared in both modern DC and Marvel films.
2 ‘Black Adam’ (2022)

Black Adam The Rock stars as the super(anti)hero, very well known, but this time dressed in black instead of red, brought back to life. Set in the same universe Shazam! this film has the same otherworldly battles mentioned in the first Shazam! the film but from a different angle.
Hounsou reprises his role as Shazam and connects these two (would-be) film series. Unfortunately, it seems that with DC’s latest shake-ups we won’t be seeing more of the shared story with Black Adam or Shazam, but it’s still interesting for viewers to see the connections between them.

Shazam! It follows teenage foster kid Billy Batson as he is chosen as a wizard champion to fight sin and becomes a mature superhero in the process. This DC movie is much lighter and funnier than other shared universe movies, so it appeals to the audience in a different way.
Appearing as the titular wizard in need of a champion, Djimon Hounsou conveys his powers to save the world but potentially kill himself. Viewers are excited to see how this character will develop after seeing her reappear in both Black Adam and the trailer Shazam! Wrath of the Gods
